BILL MCDAD PHOTOGRAPHY & DESIGN bio picture
  • WELCOME!

I believe that visual communication is the truest form of any human interaction. Cameras have the power to strip down the cultural dust that shapes us and can break into our universal and vulnerable spirits.

Often people miss the simple truths in photographs. A photograph, while it may reveal the subject's intimate emotions. It can also speak volumes on that other person. The one standing behind the camera.

If you are looking to know more about me look no further than my images for they are also the most accurate reflection of myself.

Mindo Chocolate Makers

I finally got around to filming the first take at a series of PR Pieces I’m filming for Mindo Chocolate Makers. I shot it today and I’m very pleased with the final edit. There will be a series of three films highlighting the process and their home style chocolate making from raw chocolate beans they purchase directly from farmers in Ecuador where they also ferment, dry and roast the beans.
Specials Thanks To Chocolate maker Amy and Fellow film maker Jerry Willis for your help in making this video even possible. Also, Special thanks to my beautiful wife for lending us her kitchen for this shoot:)

The {Seeing Not Looking} Workshop:

I want to thank everyone who attended my workshop yesterday! It was my pleasure reconnecting and meeting with all of you. What an amazing crowd:)

Hope you had a fun and informative time. Stay tuned for the next Spring workshop… And who knows maybe the next one will be a road trip to Chicago:)  Also I wanna give special thanks to Melissa Whitt (Makeup artist), Venessa Mekled (Model) and Ahmad Beydoun (Model) for their hard work.

Mostly, I’m thankful to the most amazing woman in my life. The queen of my heart, my wife. Who lifts my spirit with her unwavering devotion to everything that I am. And who’s smile continues to light my way with Love, support, and commitment. I love you sweetheart. Without you, there would be no light!

Here are some images from the workshop of the amazing young talents Vanessa and Ahmad. You guys rock!
